Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate to support production by handling empty cases, moving trailers, and maintaining clean, organized dock areas in a fast-paced environment.

You will follow GMPs, document activities clearly, work as part of a team, and help prevent production delays by prioritizing tasks and communicating with supervisors. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and safety awareness across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in warehouse/production is preferred.
• Certification or license may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean equipment in the assigned area.
• Move empty cases using milk hook or pallet jack as needed.
• Keep conveyor tracks filled to prevent delays.
• Verify area is stocked with cases at shift end for the next shift.
• Prioritize truck unloading based on supervisor input to prevent stops.
• Keep area tidy to reduce hazards and injuries.
• Spot and remove broken or unusable cases to designated area.
• Handle returned and inventory product as instructed.
• Unload and wash trailers efficiently while keeping dock doors closed when not in use.
• Complete paperwork clearly and accurately as required by SOPs.
• Document required information per SOPs and support process improvements.
• Report food safety and quality issues immediately to management.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Follow DFA GMPs and all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Job description

General Purpose

Ensure empty cases are available to production departments to meet production schedules and provide assistance to shipping by moving trailers as requested and according to established Company policies and procedures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all equipment in assigned area
• Slide case stacks from truck using milk hook or pallet jack as appropriate
• Ensure conveyor tracks are filled with empty cases to prevent production delays
• Confirm empty case area is full of cases at end of shift to help next shift with production run
• Correctly prioritize which truck to empty first based on input from supervisors, yard drivers, or others
• Continuously scan the area and straighten up to reduce trip and slip hazards
• Spot broken or otherwise unusable cases and remove them to the designated area
• Handle returned and truck inventory product as instructed
• Ensure trailers are unloaded and washed in a timely and efficient manner while keeping dock doors closed at all times when not in use
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format and completed with required information
• Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's
• Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred
• Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment
