Alliant Insurance is hiring a Sales Advisor (also known as Case Design Specialist or Insurance Wholesaler) for our EMG office based out of Houston, TX!

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS



  • Full-time, Benefits eligible

  • Remote if 50 miles outside of Houston, TX

  • Compensation is a combination of base salary + uncapped incentive



SUMMARY


Responsible for outside sales, meeting individual sales goals and new business targets, and providing comprehensive service and/or solicitation activities on accounts.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Responsible for outside sales, including frequent travel to client sites, conducting sales calls offsite at customer locations




  • Identifies new leads and gathers the necessary information for submissions




  • Gathers necessary information, and develops, delivers, and sells new business and renewal proposals




  • Performs periodic service calls on all accounts and provides or coordinates customer service assistance as requested both in person and virtually




  • Solicits new accounts to conduct cross selling, direct selling, and cold calling




  • Facilitates joint sales calls and the sharing of lead information among departmental members




  • Attends and actively participates in regular sales meetings




  • Participates in the overall agency effort to develop and maintain strong company relationships through positive professional contacts with company representatives




  • Achieves annual sales goals and provides regular feedback to the sales manager on progress toward those goals




  • Achieves educational and professional development goals established by agency management




  • Maintains a professional demeanor and actively supports and promotes a positive public image for the agency




  • Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information)




  • Promote the company's product portfolio by being proficient within product area assignment and familiar with all company products and services




  • Develops sales strategies by conducting market research, evaluating market conditions, preparing sales forecasts, and establishing sales objectives




  • Strategically plans sales activities for maximum efficiency and effectiveness



QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE


Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Insurance, or Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience:


Five (5) or more years of related work experience


One (1) or more years of minimum insurance industry experience, including supporting advisors with case design and illustrations.


Valid Insurance Licenses including Series 6/63,


Continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
