Job description

Boarhog has an immediate opening for a Case Analyst (Junior, Mid, or Senior level) to support program management, foreign military sales (FMS), and administrative case workflows.

Responsibilities
  • Case Tracking & Management: Monitor, track, and process international program or financial cases, ensuring adherence to Department of War and NAVWAR guidelines.
  • Data & Financial Analysis: Review case files, reconcile discrepancies in data or funding line items, and maintain databases tracking project/case progress.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Draft reports, prepare program metrics, and coordinate documentation packages for international stakeholders and program managers.
  • Collaboration: Interface with logisticians, financial analysts, and program directors to resolve case-level administrative or implementation issues.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate shall demonstrate familiarity with two major tools: DSAMS for contract and case management, and MISIL for logistics and education.

  • DSAMS (Defense Security Assistance Management System) is the primary DoW-wide database used to draft, track, and manage Foreign Military Sales cases. It acts as the central standard system for creating official FMS documentation—most importantly, the Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA), which serves as the legal contract between the U.S. government and a foreign country. DSAMS is used for Case Creation, Inter-Agency Review, and Milestone Tracking.
  • MISIL (Management Information System for International Logistics) is a specialized legacy logistics and supply-tracking system historically used by military components (such as the Department of the Navy) to handle the supply side of FMS cases. While DSAMS focuses on developing and managing the contract itself, systems like MISIL focus on logistics, inventory tracking, requisitioning, and supply execution. MISIL is used for Requisitioning Parts & Goods, Inventory Management, and Financial & Delivery Coordination.
Clearance
  • Active DoW Secret Clearance is highly preferred, although we will consider an otherwise completely qualified candidate whose DoW clearance was active in the recent past but can be brought back into good standing by Boarhog's Facility Security Officer in short order.
Education
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, management, international relations, or a technical/quantitative discipline.
Experience
  • Three (3) years’ experience with familiarity with defense acquisition, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), or Navy C4I support environments.
  • DSAMS and MISIL

There are no company Presidents, Vice Presidents, or supervisors doing desk checks. The word "employee" is not spoken and appears nowhere in company documents, because every one of is is an associate. We demonstrate a vested interest in our associates' personal and professional goals and aspirations, taking pride in the resulting exceedingly low associate turnover rate (we're not a staffing company body shop... there are no recruiters paid to jam warm bodies in seats), so we thrive at the top of the learning curve. Boarhog's Managing Member and co-founder served 21 years on active duty as a U.S. Navy SWO and is a member of the Navy's Acquisition Professional Community with many decades of public sector acquisition experience. He actively engages in day-to-day operations, client relationships, and associate job satisfaction.
