  • Ability to travel to other company sites (if required).
  • Ability to travel to Client Sites.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee CASAC Clinicians' screening, assessment, and referral services for caregivers involved in the child welfare system with substance use concerns, ensuring timely engagement, clinical consultations, and accurate documentation.
  • Provide supervision to CASAC clinicians, including case consultation, coaching, professional development, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure staff utilize evidence-based or best-practice approaches in substance use assessments and recovery support.
  • Conduct substance use assessments using clinical interviews, screenings, and standardized tools as needed.
  • Ensure internal and external referrals are individualized and tailored to meet families' needs, with warm handoffs to service providers.
  • Contribute to CPS teams' decision-making; participate in case conferences and support CPS teams' understanding of substance use dynamics.

CASAC Supervisor needed in Brooklyn. Full-time position.
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday at a specified Client Field Office in Brooklyn, with travel requirements as needed.
Work hours options are 9:00 am-5:00 pm, 10am - 6 pm.
Salary: $68,000 to $72,500 per year plus benefits
Overview
In this new Clinical Support Program, we will embed licensed professionals specializing in mental health, substance use and intimate partner violence directly into child protective work in Brooklyn. These clinicians will collaborate closely with Client staff and families to assess needs, provide tailored service recommendations, and ensure families are connected to appropriate supports. By integrating clinical expertise into frontline decision-making, we will play a vital role in enhancing child safety and strengthening family outcomes across the borough.
As a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) Supervisor, you will supervise CASAC Clinicians stationed at the Client Brooklyn Field offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee clinicians conducting screening, assessment, and referral services for caregivers involved in the child welfare system with substance use concerns, ensuring timely engagement, clinical consultations, and accurate documentation.
  • Provide consistent supervision to CASAC clinicians, including case consultation, coaching, professional development, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure staff utilize evidence-based or best-practice approaches in substance use assessments and recovery support.
  • Conduct substance use assessments using clinical interviews, screenings, and standardized tools as needed.
  • Ensure that internal and external referrals are individualized and tailored to meet families' needs, working collaboratively with the Access and Referral Department. Provide warm handoffs to service providers.
  • Contribute to CPS teams' decision making by highlighting areas of concern related to child safety due to substance use; participate in case conferences and support CPS teams' understanding of substance use dynamics within family systems.
  • Educate CPS staff on substance use trends, treatment options, and best practices for engaging families affected by substance use.
  • Participate in relevant internal and external meetings with Client and community partners.
  • Provide after-hours consultation coverage as needed.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
