What you'll be doing day to day
As a Retail Carts Co-worker, you will ensure an enjoyable shopping experience for our customers by:
- Providing friendly and efficient car loading and unloading services, keeping the loading zone clean by clearing straps, excess carts, and cardboard.
- Ensuring all physical shopping tools, including carts, pencils, yellow bags, maps, and twine, are adequately stocked and maintained during business hours.
- Filling shopping tools at closing.
- Monitoring the condition of physical and digital shopping tools, reporting IT issues, and removing unsafe stands or tools.
- Addressing customer needs, resolving issues independently, and escalating to a manager when necessary.
- Supporting other customer service areas such as Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO), Exchanges & Returns, and Click & Collect.
- Providing a simple and efficient handout experience in FSHO.
- Ensuring proper staging of products and equipment during Returns.
- Creating a positive customer experience during Click & Collect by ensuring accurate order handoff.
- Contributing to a culture that embraces diversity and promotes the IKEA values.

Qualifications
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk frequently.
Working Conditions: Outdoor work required 50% of the time.

Job Type: Permanent, Part-time, Hourly Associate
Hours: 12 to 19 hours per week (HL1)
Shifts: Availability on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays preferred. Schedules are published one month in advance.
Pay: $17.15 per hour
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, store discounts, parental leave, pet insurance, education assistance, and more. Benefits are eligible at 20 hours/week.
