Job summary

IKEA Gruppe in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, seeks an hourly, permanent Customer Relations associate to load and unload vehicles, stock shopping tools, and support multiple service areas through a fast-paced store environment.

Responsibilities include handling customer needs, maintaining safety, and ensuring smooth handoffs for Click & Collect and Exchanges & Returns. Evening and weekend shifts are required; benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• Physical demands: lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Working outdoors about 50% of the time.
• Evening and weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient car loading and unloading services; keep loading zone clean.
• Ensure shopping tools (carts, maps, bags) are stocked and maintained during business hours.
• Fill carts and tools at closing to prepare for next day.
• Support in other customer service areas such as Exchanges & Returns and Click & Collect as needed.
• Create a positive customer experience by accurate order handoffs and helpful service.

What you'll be doing day to day

• Provide friendly and efficient car loading and/or unloading services while keeping the loading zone clean by clearing away straps, excess carts, and cardboard.
• Ensure that all physical shopping tools, including carts, pencils, yellow bags, maps, and twine, are adequately stocked and maintained throughout the store during business hours.
• Ensure physical shopping tools are filled at closing.
• Monitor the condition of physical and digital shopping tools, report any IT issues, and remove any physical stands or tools that are unsafe.
• Address customer needs, resolve issues independently, elevate matters to a manager when needed.
• Support in other customer service areas such as Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO), Exchanges & Returns, Click & Collect as needed.
• When supporting in Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO), provide customers with a simple and efficient handout experience.
• When supporting in Returns, ensure products and equipment are properly staged.
• When supporting Click & Collect, create a positive customer experience by ensuring accurate order handoff.

JOB TYPE - Permanent, Full-Time, Hourly Associate, 18+
HOURS - From 34-40 hours per week (HL3) // Benefits Eligible
SHIFTS –This role is in a retail environment, so evening and weekend availability will be required to support store operations and our customers.

• Working Conditions: Outdoor 50% of the time.

The starting rate/ salary for this position is 17.5 USD
