Job summary

QSL in Springfield, VA is seeking a Cartographic Analyst to support the Maritime Safety Office. The role requires TS/SCI clearance and a first shift. You will leverage GEOINT expertise to produce and review critical maritime products and presentations, coordinating with teams to meet tight deadlines.

The position emphasizes accurate data extraction, GIS workflow proficiency, and quality assurance prior to NGA submission, in a collaborative government-contract setting.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of cartographic finishing and feature extraction from maps or imagery.
• Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS and PLTS; capability to geo-rectify maps.
• Understanding NGA products and services; ability to write Python scripts in ArcGIS.
• Experience with multi-user geospatial enterprise environments and data formats (S57).
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support Maritime GEOINT activities with domain expertise and clear communication.
• Perform independent quality reviews on finished products before NGA submission.
• Manage multiple time-constrained projects in a fast-paced team environment.
• Create, edit, and manipulate geospatial data and formats for nautical charts.
