Job summary

Bridge Defense is seeking a Cartographic Analyst for full-time salaried positions supporting an Intelligence Community partner in Springfield, VA. This role involves Digital Nautical Chart and Electronic Nautical Chart production, conversion, and review within a government/contractor team.

The position requires TS/SCI clearance or willingness to sit for CI Poly. Candidates should have strong GIS experience, proficiency in ArcGIS, and the ability to analyze imagery and non-imagery data for

Qualifications

  • High School diploma with 5 years of relevant military or full-time geospatial experience.
  • High School diploma with 4 years of experience plus GPC Level I and II certification.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in geography, cartography, and GIS with proficiency in ArcGIS.
  • Knowledge of digital cartography, GIS production techniques, and other maritime digital data formats.
  • Ability to analyze imagery and non-imagery source data for hydrographic products and databases.
  • Adherence to IC analytic tradecraft standards (e.g. ICDS 203, 206, 208…).
  • Excellent oral, writing, and coordination skills under pressure.

Summary: Bridge Defense is seeking a Cartographic Analystfor full-time salaried positions supporting an Intelligence Community partner. ***This is a pipeline/future needs position***

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The GIS / Cartographic Analyst - Journeyman will work within a government/contractor team environment providing Digital Nautical Chart and Electronic Nautical Chart Conversion, Production and Review as well as provide support to existing and developing mission areas. Future needs and capabilities, as well as developmental assignments, are included.

Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  • A total of 5 points of relevant background via one of the following pathways:
    • High School diploma and 5 years of relevant military or full-time geospatial professional experience.
    • High School diploma and 4 years of experience plus GPC Level I and II certification.
    • Relevant bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in geography, cartography, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), with proficiency in ArcGIS applications.
  • Knowledge of digital cartography, GIS production techniques, and other maritime digital data formats.
  • Ability to analyze imagery and non-imagery source data for hydrographic products and databases..
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to and apply IC analytic tradecraft standards (e.g. ICDS 203, 206, 208…).
  • Excellent oral, writing, and coordination skills to communicate factual information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, often under pressure and tight deadlines that meets or exceeds established analytical standards.

Desired Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  • Previous experience in Nautical Maritime domains.
  • BA degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Critical thinker with strong technical skills, diagnostic skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills to negotiate direction, drive projects and projects to successful conclusion and deliver knowledge to team members verbally and via clear designs, runbooks and technical engineering and exchange sessions.
  • Self-starter, flexible, adaptable, collaborative and motivated to champion continuous improvement.
  • Ability to develop peer networks across an enterprise to maintain technology awareness and to support resolution of problems.
  • Ability to operate across traditional technical boundaries, comfortable working in the compute space as well as the storage space in an operational capacity.
  • Technically curious and driven to learn new skills.

Clearance: TS/SCI Clearance (with CI Poly, or willingness to sit for CI Poly)

Location: Springfield, VA; On-Site/Hybrid

Salary Range: 85K - 100K

General Factors:

  • Depending on project requirements, may be required to work within a compressed schedule; overtime should be expected when schedules demand it.
  • Willing to travel, if needed.
  • No Relocation .
  • Must be able to sit/stand at a desk for long-periods and must be able to lift 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to multi-task and rapidly change priorities with limited notice.
