Job summary

WinCo Foods in Spokane, WA is hiring for a Cart Attendant to keep carts organized and greet customers with a friendly, helpful attitude. You will retrieve carts from the parking lot using manual or remote cart pusher and assist in keeping the lot tidy and safe.

This role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and working across varied hours in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Food Handlers Certification may be required by state law.

Qualifications

• Consistently provide friendly, courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Work varied hours primarily between 7:00 am to 11:00 pm in a 24/7 operation; including night, weekends and holidays.
• Lift up to 40 lbs. often from floor to 6 ft. high and maneuver up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Wear reflective vest while outside and maintain safety awareness in the parking lot.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Food Handlers Certification may be required by state laws.

Responsibilities

• Seeks opportunities to welcome, engage, serve and thank customers.
• Gathers carts manually and by using a remote controlled cart pusher, guiding carts, assembling carts, gathering stray carts, etc.
• Picks up litter from the grounds, planters and the cart room.
• Gathers stray carts in the store.
• Empty recycle machine containers into proper bins (glass, aluminum, plastic).
• Maneuver/stack bins for pick-up.
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
