Job summary

Meijer in Canton, Ohio is seeking an entry-level team member to engage with customers and perform a variety of retail tasks across departments. You will support the service desk, checkout lanes, and store entrances while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

This role offers exposure to multiple store functions and opportunities for growth within a multi-state retailer with a long-standing community presence. Prior retail experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Transport shopping carts from outside to inside the store.

• Safely operate snow removal equipment when needed.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns as directed.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning duties.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
