Job summary

Meijer in Illinois is seeking entry-level Courtesy Team Members to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks and customer service within a busy store environment.

You’ll help with cart attendants, parking lot duties, basic cleaning, and support across departments such as Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, and Fashion. Meijer offers weekly pay, benefits, education assistance, parental leave, and career growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. We are committed to offering competitive pay that reflects market standards and ensures consistency within our organization. This job has a step pay plan that generally starts between the rates below with raises occurring after predetermined hours worked. The actual rate offered will meet or surpass the legal wage requirement for the job’s location. $15.00 - $15.00
