Position Summary

A carryout cashier is responsible for handling all carryout orders and guest interactions in a professional and timely manner. Responsibilities include answering phones, taking orders, greeting guests, cashing out orders, stocking and organizing carryout items, and maintaining cleanliness in the carryout area according to store standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation.
• Support and assist team members whenever possible.
• Maintain sanitary standards.
• Count cash drawer at beginning and end of shift.
• Greet guests, take food and beverage orders, and expedite food orders as needed.
• Ring guest orders into the POS system.
• Charge guests and collect payments accurately.
• Process credit and debit card transactions.
• Answer phones and take phone orders.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Clean equipment thoroughly and timely.
• Keep the work and service areas clean and debris-free.
• Complete shift duties promptly and thoroughly according to standards.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform basic math and make change.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to stoop and bend.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently.
