Job summary

Uber Freight is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative to build and manage carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and drive on-time performance. This role blends account management with sales, requiring proactive outreach via phone and email to expand core and dedicated carrier partnerships.

Job description

As a Carrier Sales Representative, you are a key contributor to Uber Freight's business by generating and maintaining carrier relationships. You will be eligible to earn a monthly bonus, in addition to your base salary, in your first full calendar month and enjoy working in a fast-paced, sales environment.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Establish relationships, negotiate, and develop carriers regularly via phone and email in order to develop core and dedicated carriers specific to Uber Freight's accounts
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and high service levels where freight is picked up and delivered on time using safe, reliable carriers
  • Meet or exceed team financial and individual performance goals
  • Develop knowledge of carrier supply and demand, spot market pricing, and factors that impact freight markets
  • Carrier profile management- learn carrier requirements, needs, contacts and update carrier profiles regularly. Be an advocate for the carrier on all levels
  • Acquire knowledge of freight network/lanes- know what internal freight lanes we run and find carriers that match these lanes

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a carrier management or carrier sales position and/or professional experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3PL knowledge and/or prior experience within a 3PL environment/Freight Brokerage
  • Prior TMS experience
  • Experience working with Truckload
