Job summary

ArcBest offers a Truckload Sales Internship that provides hands-on experience in carrier sales, relationship building with transportation providers, and learning about logistics and sales techniques. Interns work under a mentor, engage with multiple teams, and complete a project contributing to department success.

This part-time internship runs May through summer, averaging 30-40 hours per week with typical 8:00 am–5:00 pm hours. Compensation is hourly and biweekly.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree at junior standing preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn sales techniques and processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist Carrier Sales mentor with operational tasks.
• Learn sales techniques and gain hands-on experience.
• Prospect new carriers through lead generation and cold calling.
• Build relationships with dispatchers and drivers.
• Develop negotiation skills for carrier partnerships.
• Enter shipment details into the transportation management system.
