Job Description Summary: This position is responsible for managing carrier operations across the United States, including dedicated, seasonal, and on-demand carriers supporting various business segments. It involves improving and executing the Carrier Strategy, collaborating across distribution and sales teams to ensure cost-effective, safe, and high-quality customer service. The role also serves as the on-site contact for construction and commissioning management.
Develop programs aligned with the Carrier Operations team’s mission and goals.
Work with leadership to develop and implement strategies for Carrier Operations management.
Benchmark industry and academic logistics practices and drive innovation through technology and best practices.
Manage documentation and resource requirements at carrier terminals.
Secure third-party carriers to meet operational needs.
Coordinate with procurement on carrier contract renewals, pricing, and with finance on carrier financials.
Measure and manage carrier KPIs, prepare quarterly review presentations, analyze safety, performance, and compliance data, and facilitate improvement initiatives.
Research and implement e-commerce tools to reduce paperwork and data errors.
Ensure regulatory compliance (FDA, DOT, etc.) and manage quality incidents with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Oversee carrier trip and invoice processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Track on-demand carrier activities and collaborate with logistics managers.
Assist with supply chain network design and disaster recovery planning.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related field.
8+ years of experience in logistics and/or third-party carrier management.
Strong knowledge of SAP.
Experience with invoicing.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cryogenic carriers is a plus.
Procurement experience is preferred.

Work Environment:
Up to 5% travel, site visits, and varied environments. Reliable transportation is necessary.
