Job summary

RJW Transport, Inc. is seeking a Pricing Analyst in the United States to manage truckload procurement and pricing, serving as the pricing hub for sales and brokerage teams. The role combines data ownership with hands-on pricing and market benchmarking to deliver fast, accurate quotes.

You will lead platform administration, manage data integrity, support RFPs, and drive pricing improvements across lanes. The position requires logistics understanding, negotiation skills, and the ability to operate

Responsibilities

Own and administer truckload procurement/RFP platform, including bid events, rate benchmarking, user access, and data integrity.
Load, validate, and maintain contract and spot rate data across lanes and networks.
Manage private freight marketplace onboarding, lane structures, and rate card maintenance.
Monitor data feeds between platform and internal systems, troubleshoot discrepancies.
Run and support Dynamic RFP/bid events, analyzing results and benchmarking against market data.
Own inbound pricing requests for truckload spot quotes and contract pricing from sales/ops.
Price truckload freight using cost inputs to build competitive, profitable quotes within SLA.
Track win/loss rates, turnaround times, and request volume to drive improvements.
Escalate complex/high-value requests with pricing recommendations.
Identify lane-level pricing trends, margin erosion, and capacity risk.
Benchmark internal pricing against market indices to inform strategy.
Support RFP/bid strategy, carrier sourcing, and customer pricing initiatives.

Salary:$70,000 - $80,000 annually + MyShare Equity Program

Job Purpose: The Pricing Analyst role will manage our truckload procurement and pricing platform and serve as the central point of contact for pricing requests from our sales and brokerage teams. This role blends platform/data ownership with hands‑on truckload pricing — ideal for someone who understands spot and contract market dynamics and thrives as the go‑to resource for accurate, fast pricing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Own and administer our truckload procurement/RFP platform (Emerge experience strongly preferred), including bid events, rate benchmarking (e.g., DAT integration), user access, and data integrity
Load, validate, and maintain contract and spot rate data (linehaul, fuel, accessorials) across lanes and carrier/broker networks
Manage the private freight marketplace setup — incumbent carrier/broker onboarding, lane structures, and rate card maintenance within the platform
Monitor data feeds between the platform and internal TMS/CRM, troubleshooting discrepancies
Run and support Dynamic RFP/bid events, analyzing results and benchmarking against market data
Own the inbound pricing request queue for truckload spot quotes and contract pricing from sales, account management, and operations
Price truckload freight using cost inputs (linehaul, fuel, accessorials, capacity/market conditions) to build competitive, profitable quotes within SLA
Track win/loss rates, turnaround times, and request volume to drive process improvements
Escalate complex, high-value, or capacity‑constrained requests with clear pricing recommendations
Identify truckload lane‑level pricing trends, margin erosion, and capacity risk
Benchmark internal pricing against market indices (DAT, etc.) to inform strategy
Support RFP/bid strategy, carrier sourcing, and customer‑specific pricing initiatives

Education and/or Experience Required:

High School Diploma required with previous logistics experience.
4 Year College Degree preferred but not mandatory

Language Skills Sets:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to determine “root cause” of problem and determine corrective action.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons.
Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
Regularly works in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.
Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk.
Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.
Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.
Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.
