Job summary

Optimum in Texas is seeking a highly skilled IP Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain a carrier-grade IP/MPLS network across multi-state regions. You will optimize performance, ensure scalability, reliability, and low latency in backbone, aggregation, and access layers.

The role requires strong experience with OSPF, BGP, MPLS-TE, L2VPN/L3VPN, IPv4/IPv6, and Cisco/Nokia equipment. You will collaborate with teams to deploy new services while meeting SLAs in a 24x7 ISP production

Qualifications

• BS degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in a Service Provider/ISP environment.
• Experience with BGP, OSPF, ISIS and MPLS-TE.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain ISP IP/MPLS networks.
• Plan and engineer regional multi-state networks with MPLS, L2VPN/L3VPN.
• Validate equipment releases and document procedures.
• Collaborate with teams to deploy new services while meeting SLAs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents in a 24x7 environment.
