About This Role

The Carrier Energy Utility Sales and Business Development Leader will drive sales growth for Carrier Energy’s HVAC and energy solutions with US Utilities. The role involves developing growth plans, managing a team of 4-8, and engaging with utility executives, regulators, and partners to establish Carrier as a trusted leader in demand response, VPP orchestration, and sustainable energy management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach a team responsible for engaging utilities and key RTO/ISOs.
  • Validate and expand Carrier Energy’s business model and revenue streams.
  • Build and maintain relationships with utility executives, regulators, and partners.
  • Negotiate and execute agreements for field trials and deployments.
  • Manage strategic partnerships and influence policies supporting Carrier solutions.
  • Develop strategies for large-scale utility engagement and program forecasting.
  • Identify growth opportunities and translate them into product roadmaps and initiatives.
Level of Responsibility
  • Influences executive decisions.
  • Handles complex problems requiring extensive analysis.
  • Communicates strategic matters with senior leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years in sales or business development, or MBA with 8+ years.
  • 5+ years managing teams selling to U.S. utilities.
  • Ability to travel over 50% domestically.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA and degree in Business, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience with demand response, VPPs, DER, HVAC, or energy management solutions.
  • Proven consultative sales strategy experience.
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Leadership and cross-functional collaboration experience.

Pay Range: $133,319 - $232,919 annually.
