Job summary

Responsibilities include maintaining line alignment, ensuring consistent tile quality, and coordinating with QA and maintenance to resolve issues. A high school diploma and basic math skills are required; prior carpet manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in carpet manufacturing preferred.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate control panel for the knife on the cutting line.
• Keep carpet lined up and running squarely into press.
• Maintain quality of cuts and ensure tile sizes meet specifications.
• Send tiles to quality lab to verify sizes are within specs.
• Call out color changes to inspectors and boxers when a new run starts.
• Complete production paperwork for the shift and maintain line knowledge.
• Lead during critical times or when supervisor is away from the line.
• Coordinate with maintenance to resolve cutting-line quality issues.
