Job description

Location- Wyomissing, Pennsylvania

The Carpenter will build, erect, install, and repair forms, structures, and other fixtures made from wood and other materials as needed to assist with various types of construction projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordination of projects with Job Superintendent/Forman.
  • Measures, marks, and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from
  • Cuts and shapes structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or other materials. Uses various hand and power tools to securely build assigned
  • Creates various frameworks including walls, cols/beams, templates, piers, decks, slab edge, bulkheads, ftg steps, etc.
  • Anchor bolt/embed layout/placement with the most appropriate nail, screw, staple, or epoxy adhesive if post installed.
  • Ensures the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as
  • Creates wooden forms for pouring concrete for tunnels, bridges, or sewers, vibrating walls/piers, and any other construction
  • Erects and dismantles scaffolding.
  • Adheres to local building and safety codes and
  • Build and develop trusting relationships with current customers and seek to identify opportunities to grow our customer base and build positive relationships.
  • Performs other related duties as
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE (Include necessary licenses and specialized training.)
  • Successful completion of vocational school or technical college or apprenticeship program, preferred, OR at least three years of experience via on-the-job training
  • Ability to understand directions and read blueprints
  • Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately
  • Ability to care for and uses tools of the trade
  • Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods
  • Must have OSHA 10 certification
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment

Must be able to work safely in a variety of weather conditions and terrains. Position will require that employee have manual dexterity, good sense of balance and excellent hand-eye coordination. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites.
