Job summary

The Walsh Group, Ltd. is seeking a Carpenter for the Marana WRF project in Marana, Arizona.

The Carpenter constructs, erects, installs wooden structures using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines for commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects. Responsibilities include measuring distances, preparing surfaces, building and installing prefabricated wooden structures, and assisting with related tasks.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of verifiable carpentry experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; may work in adverse weather conditions.
• Comply with safety policies; communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Measures distance and marks guidelines on working surface to prepare for laying down work.
• Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units.
• May assist with installation of awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs.
• Uses carpenter’s belt with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
