Job summary

A3 Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Wood Assembler/Carpenter to build wooden crates to specified sizes using nail guns, staples, drills, grinders, and hammers.

You will read cut sheets, verify measurements to within 1/8 inch, assemble bases or skids as needed, apply adhesives, and follow standard operating procedures while prioritizing safety and accuracy in every crate you produce.

Qualifications

  • Read, interpret, and document cut sheets and stencil errors.
  • Use tape measure to verify crate dimensions match cut sheets.
  • Operate nail guns, staple guns, power drills, grinders and hammers.
  • Follow SOPs and safety procedures; report unsafe acts.

Job description

Wood Assembler/Carpenter
Build Various Sized Wooden Crates:
  • i.e., nail and staple guns, power drills, grinders, and hammers.
  • Use tape measure to ensure the measurements match the cut sheet up to 1/8th inch.
  • Safe ladder use required when assembling the tops (caps) of crates.
  • May need to assemble bases or skids for crates on the ground. This requires use of a 20 pound, 3.5-inch nail gun while crouching and/or kneeling.
  • Able to read, interpret, find, and document possible cut sheet and/or stenciling errors.
  • Use of adhesives to apply foam to wood crates and conduct specification checks.
  • Efficiently perform work according to standard operating procedures.

  • To ensure safety, report equipment defects and/or maintenance needs to your supervisor.
