Job summary

E&K Building Excellence in Phoenix is seeking a carpenter with welding experience to support structural installations and finish carpentry components. This role blends traditional carpentry with metal fabrication and welding to build and install supports, doors, windows, and related elements.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in commercial or industrial carpentry, is capable of reading blueprints, and can work safely at heights while maintaining high quality and productivity on site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial or industrial carpentry
• Welding experience with common construction welding methods (MIG, TIG, or Stick)
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, and safety practices
• Ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform physically demanding work
• Welding certifications preferred but not always required depending on project

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and repair building frameworks
• Read blueprints and specs
• Layout, measure, and cut wood, metal, and composites
• Weld structural and non-structural metal components (MIG/TIG/Stick)
• Fabricate and install steel supports, brackets, and metal components
• Install doors, windows, drywall, cabinetry, as needed
• Operate and maintain carpentry and welding tools safely
• Collaborate with trades to meet timelines and specs
• Follow safety regulations and OSHA guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
