Job summary

McAlvain Construction, a Big-D Company, is seeking an experienced Carpenter/Tradesman to join our Boise, ID area team. The role covers drywall, metal framing, doors and hardware, and bathroom fixtures with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years in commercial construction, proven carpentry/drywall framing experience, and the ability to read drawings. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States and capable of managing multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Drywall: hanging, taping, and finishing to a clean, professional standard.
• Metal framing: layout and installation of metal stud framing systems.
• Doors and hardware: installation and adjustment of commercial doors, frames, and hardware (hinges, closers, locksets, panic hardware).
• Bathroom accessories: installation of grab bars, partitions, dispensers, mirrors, and other commercial restroom fixtures.
• Punchlist work: identifying and resolving deficiencies to meet project specifications.
