Position Information:

This position performs journey-level carpentry to a variety of maintenance/repair projects on District facilities, roofing systems, structures, and equipment. This position effectively works within a team environment, contributing to shared goals and fostering positive relationships with colleagues.

Shift Details: 8 hours a day; 260 day calendar
Continuing Position: Employees have reasonable assurance of continued employment to the following school year. However, an employee's total work hours and the designated beginning and ending times may vary.
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Hourly Rate: $45.24 to $45.74 (hourly) (2024-2025 Maintenance Trades Employee Salary Schedule)

Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience in the construction/carpentry trade;

Or,

  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as a carpenter


Licenses/Special Requirements:

  • An acceptable driving record based on an approved driver’s abstract (or Motor Vehicle Record)

Driver’s license verification and validation

CPR and First Aid Certifications or ability to obtain (training provided by District)

Fork Lift with Aerial or ability to obtain (training provided by District)

Benefits:
The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) provides access to health care services and retirement packages. Our benefits are provided to eligible positions through SEBB (School Employees Benefits Board). Eligibility for SEBB state health insurance coverage is determined by working 630 hours during the school year. Eligibility for retirement at the time of hire is determined by employees who work at least 3.50 hours per day in a continuing position.
