Our projects are highly customized, requiring thoughtful execution and close attention to detail. We are a close-knit team that values craftsmanship, professionalism, accountability, and respect for every client's home.

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter/Punch List Technician who can confidently handle a variety of residential construction and finishing tasks. This is not a narrow, single-trade position. You will support active projects, final punch work, warranty items, and project closeouts by completing carpentry, adjustments, installations, touch-ups, and minor repairs.

The right candidate understands residential construction and can contribute without extensive training. You must recognize quality work, solve problems responsibly, communicate with English- and Spanish-speaking team members, and leave every work area clean and complete.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete punch-list, warranty, and project closeout items.
  • Perform finish carpentry, including trim, baseboards, casing, crown molding, shelving, blocking, and closet components.
  • Install and adjust cabinets, hardware, doors, jambs, thresholds, and weatherstripping.
  • Complete drywall repairs, spackling, painting, caulking, grout touch-ups, and minor flooring repairs.
  • Perform minor non-licensed fixture adjustments and repairs within demonstrated abilities, and identify plumbing, electrical, or other work that must be referred to an appropriately qualified or licensed trade.
  • Assist with light framing, installations, temporary protection, deliveries, and general project support.
  • Protect completed surfaces and maintain clean, organized work areas.
  • Review basic construction drawings and follow project instructions.
  • Communicate progress, material needs, and unexpected conditions promptly.
  • Use a smartphone and company software for timekeeping, photos, messages, and task updates.
  • Travel to project sites located primarily within the Bay Shore area.
  • Install, repair, and replace exterior siding, including cedar siding, while maintaining high standards for craftsmanship, alignment, weatherproofing, and finished appearance.
Qualifications
  • Residential construction, remodeling, carpentry, punch-list, or related experience is required.
  • High-end custom residential experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish for job site coordination.
  • Versatile skills across carpentry, repairs, drywall, painting, and installations.
  • Strong eye for fit, finish, alignment, cleanliness, and visual consistency.
  • Ability to understand basic residential construction drawings preferred.
  • Previous experience installing cedar siding is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with common hand and power tools.
  • Comfortable using a smartphone and learning construction management software.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable under the company's insurance requirements.
  • Reliable, professional, organized, and able to work independently or with a team.
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform construction tasks requiring standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and use of hand and power tools, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Compensation
  • Pay: $25-$32 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated abilities.
  • 10 paid days of PTO.
  • 6 paid federal holidays.
  • Steady involvement in active and upcoming projects.
  • Opportunity to work on distinctive high-end residential properties.
  • Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday, with start and end times based on project requirements.
