Four Seasons Environmental, Inc. is seeking a skilled Carpenter/Painter at the Atlanta Campus to maintain woodwork and fixtures, build and repair bins, cribs, benches, doors, and partitions.
Responsibilities include reading blueprints or verbal instructions, selecting materials, using carpentry tools, painting walls and woodwork, prepping surfaces, and applying finishes to achieve durable results. Compliance with immunization and credentialing requirements is required.
Location: Four Seasons Environmental, Inc. - Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - Atlanta Campus, Georgia
Pay: $30.84/hour plus fringe benefit of $11.60/hr. ($8.60 H&W/$3.00 401(k) contribution)
Hours:5:00 AM to 3:30 PM - Monday through Thursday (10/hr. Shifts) or 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM - Monday through Friday (8/hr. Shifts)
Job Description
The Carpenter/Painter performs the duties necessary to maintain in good repair, building woodwork and equipment such as bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, doors. Work involves most of the following: planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments, and making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work; and selecting materials necessary for the work. In addition, they will paint and redecorate walls, woodwork and fixtures, repair sheet rock - such as hang, tape, and mud (prepping the wall for paint). Work involves the following: knowledge of surface peculiarities and types of paint required for different applications, preparing surface for painting by removing old finish or by placing putty or filler in nail holes and interstices, and applying paint with spray gun or brush. This person may mix colors, oils, and other paint ingredients to obtain proper color or consistency
