Job summary

Clark Construction Group seeks a skilled Carpenter to join our team on a variety of projects in the Bethesda area. The ideal candidate reads blueprints, installs wood structures, handles fixtures, and ensures quality craftsmanship on every phase.

You will work independently and with a crew, perform required electrical/plumbing tasks as needed, and maintain safety standards on an active site. Physical work, lifting up to 50 lbs, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading is essential for this position.
• Familiarity with carpentry techniques including assembly, installation, electrical work, plumbing, stucco application, and fixture installation is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments is required.
• A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship is crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
• Assemble and install structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and other materials.
• Perform electrical work as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Plumb and install fixtures accurately to meet design specifications.
• Apply stucco finishes to surfaces as required for aesthetic purposes.
• Undertake maintenance tasks that may include repairs and maintenance of structures.
• Install flooring materials with precision, ensuring durability and quality.
• Lift heavy materials safely, adhering to best practices for physical safety on the job site.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
