Fortem Cares is seeking a Carpenter Multi Skilled Trade to join their Responsive Repairs team, focusing on property maintenance in social housing across East Kent. Due to continued successful growth, we have an excellent opportunity to join our Fortem team working permanently with our partners at Town & Country Housing Repairs as a Carpenter Multi Skilled Trade in our Responsive Repairs team.
The Carpenter Multi Trade will be responsible for most aspects of property maintenance and repairs to Social Housing Properties covering a patch that stretches across East Kent, including Canterbury, Minster, Deal, Dover, Folkestone, Hythe, Tunbridge Wells, Ashford, New Romney, and surrounding areas. Travel is essential.
Core hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
As a Carpenter Multi Trade, you will ensure all work is undertaken to a high standard with minimal supervision. You will take ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs, operating within the company Health and Safety guidelines, and remaining within budget and time parameters, while being courteous and professional around tenants.
Town & Country Housing Repairs is in a joint venture contract with Fortem Solutions to deliver Repairs and Maintenance, Voids, and Retrofit services to almost 9,000 houses. The business plan outlines potential to double in size and value, leading to growth and development opportunities.
Essential criteria: NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent / OR qualified by experience; Full UK driving license (max 5 points).
Desirable criteria: Social Housing experience.
