Job description

Mortenson is currently seeking a Carpenter Journeyperson responsible for providing skilled craftsmanship for installation of formwork, finish carpentry, and drywall.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Sketches or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required, such as lumber or fiberboard.
  2. Measures the dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated.
  3. Concrete and rough carpentry:
    1. Handset walls.
    2. Footings.
    3. Slab on metal deck and grade.
    4. Drywall.
  4. Finish carpentry, doors, and hardware:
    1. Set door frames, hang doors, and install hardware.
    2. Finish carpentry: toilet accessories, handrails, corner guards, toilet partitions, lockers, upper cabinets, lower cabinets, countertops, wall paneling systems, coffered ceiling systems, and running trim.
  5. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
  6. All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Completion of apprentice program.
  3. Union-specific training.
  4. *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.

*Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be done with the assistance of another team member or equipment.

The base pay range for this role is $51.69 per hour.
