Job summary

Commercial Builders & Maintenance is seeking an experienced carpenter to join our Fort Wayne, IN project teams. This role performs framing, finish carpentry, doors, hardware, millwork, drywall, and general construction while reading blueprints and following Foreman directions.

You will measure, cut, install materials, and maintain a clean, safe site. The ideal candidate reads plans well, works with tools efficiently, lifts heavy loads, and communicates issues promptly for quality craftsmanship.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of commercial carpentry experience preferred – metal stud and wood framing.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices.
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform layout work.
  • Experience with a variety of carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
  • OSHA certification is a plus.

Job description

Reports to the Carpenter Foreman and is responsible for completing a wide variety of commercial carpentry tasks while helping maintain a productive and efficient jobsite.
