Job summary

HB Rentals, a Superior Energy Services company, seeks a Carpenter/Joiner in Broussard, LA to remodel and repair temporary housing units. You will read blueprints, cut materials, and install insulation, paneling, doors, and flooring to exact specs.

We require 2–3 years' experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass physical and drug tests. Training is available for insulation and fire-retardant applications. This is an on-site, full-time role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two to three years' experience preferred, but willing to train.
• Experience in fire retardant insulation preferred, but will train.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Current driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must pass a physical, agility testing, and drug and alcohol screen.
• Ability to meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requirements to operate a commercial vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Shaping or cutting materials to measurements using basic hand tools.
• Assist with insulation installation and paneling to ceilings and walls.
• Read blueprints, sketches or building plans to determine required materials.
• Prepare and install mineral wool insulation to meet A60 fire protection.
• Prepare and install standard fiberglass insulation materials.
• Install and repair steel products in the rental fleet including duct work and panel systems.
• Install studs, paneling, FRP paneling, joiner doors, and moldings.
• Install floor installations including leveling and products like Azrock, Dex-O-Tex, Tarkett.
• Install A60, H60 exterior and B class interior doors.
• Refurbish interior furnishings such as bunks, desks, cabinets in rental fleet.

We are currently looking for a Carpenter/Joinerto join our team inBroussard, LA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts shaping or cutting of materials to specified measurements using basic hand tools;
• Assists with the installation of insulation and basic paneling to ceilings and walls;
• Study and interpret specifications in blueprint, sketches or building plans to determine dimensions and types of materials required for remodel and repair of temporary housing units;
• Preps and installs mineral wool insulation and materials to meet A60 fire protection;
• Preps and install standard fiberglass insulation materials;
• Install and repair all steel products in the rental fleet including metal duct work, hard core and soft core complete wall Panel systems and “B” and “C” class ceiling systems;
• Installs studs, paneling, FRP paneling, joiner doors, and moldings;
• Fit and install all floor installation aspects including leveling, installing, repairing Azrock, Dex-O-Tex, Tarkett
• Install A60, H60 exterior and “B” class interior doors;
• Installs, repairs and refurbishes all “low fire load” interior furnishings such as bunks, desks, cabinets in rental fleet.

Essential Qualifications:

• High SchoolDiploma or G.E.D.
• Two to three years' experience preferred, but willing to train
• Experience in fire retardant insulation and applications preferred, but will train
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Current driver's license and clean driving record
• Must pass aphysical, agility testing, and drug and alcohol screen
• Ability to meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administrationrequirements to operate a commercial vehicle.
