Job summary

Canada's Wonderland is seeking a Level II Maintenance Carpenter to support the park, restaurant, and office buildings. The role involves planning repair schedules, inspecting and repairing vehicles and equipment, and using a range of carpentry and construction tools to deliver safe, high-quality structures.

You will work from blueprints, operate heavy equipment, and collaborate with guests, peers, and subcontractors while maintaining strict safety standards and documentation of daily work

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to climb and work at heights up to 300 feet.
• Ability to wear PPE including steel-toed shoes and fall protection equipment.
• Ability to pass a mandatory or random drug test per Company policy.
• Ability to pass a background check as required by Company policy.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Plans repair schedules for park equipment and vehicle maintenance; inspects, services, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs vehicles and equipment.
• Operates heavy equipment and a range of carpentry and construction tools.
• Documents work performed daily and maintains maintenance records and inspections.
• Maintains clean, safe work areas and properly maintains equipment and tools.
• Works with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall; uses chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders.
• Repairs or builds structures, stairs, cabinets, and molding; installs partitions, doors, and windows.
• Reads blueprints or instructions and develops material lists; ensures work matches specifications.
