UTHealth Houston in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled journeyman carpenter to perform construction, maintenance, and repair of building structures. The role includes cabinet and furniture fabrication, flooring installation, and door/window work.
You will contribute to lab and facility projects across the campus. Requires 5+ years of journeyman carpentry, a high school diploma with trade school, and a Texas driver license.

The Carpenter II performs skilled journeyman-level carpentry work involving the construction, maintenance, repair, and renovation of building structures and fixtures. Responsibilities include repairing and installing doors, windows, flooring, partitions, stairways, and other building components; constructing cabinets, furniture, shelves, tables, and specialized wood products; performing shop work and flooring installation; maintaining and repairing tools; estimating labor and material needs; and completing other assigned duties.

Provides skilled craftsmanship as a journeyman carpenter in the areas of construction, maintenance, and repair of building structures.
High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of trade school required
5 Years Of Journeyman Level Carpentry Experience Required
Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
