Job summary

The State of Hawai'i is seeking a Carpenter I to perform a wide range of skilled carpentry work in construction, alteration, and repair of structural woodwork. The role may supervise Carpenter Helpers and other helpers as part of a regular duty assignment.

Legal authorization to work in the United States is required, with a minimum of four years of carpentry experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training. A valid driver's license may be required for certain positions.

Qualifications

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Four (4) years of work experience in rough and finished carpentry or equivalent
• Possession of a valid driver's license for some positions
• Ability to lift and carry items of various weights as required

Responsibilities

• Independently performs a wide variety of skilled carpentry work in construction, alteration and repair of structural woodwork
• May supervise one or more Carpenter Helpers or other helpers
• Performs other related duties as assigned
