Austin Industrial is seeking a Carpenter in Houston, TX to support maintenance, construction, and craft services for industrial clients. You will study specs, cut materials, and help erect forms while maintaining safety and quality on site.

Requirements include 3–5 years journeyman experience, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and TWIC credentials. The role demands overtime and the ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment on a busy job site.

Responsabilidades

• Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine dimensions and materials.
• Shape or cut materials to measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean work area.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, and ramps.
• Repair or replace damaged parts using hand tools.
• Maintain records and progress reports.
• Verify trueness, grade, plumb, and other checks.
• Mix, transfer, and extend concrete and asphalt.
• Fabricate and install reinforcing bars; place and finish concrete.
• Keep job site clean; move tools and equipment; secure site daily.
• Operate a forklift.
• Move or rearrange furniture as needed.
• Paint as required.
• Prepare water and deliver to crafts or units.
• Replace doors, walls, and build stairs as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Austin Industrial is currently seeking a Carpenter to join our staff located at Houston, TX. They must be able to execute profitable production activities, as assigned by Manager, that support the goals of the company.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Erect and destruct concrete forms, scaffolding and ramps above ground level.
• Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.
• Maintain records, document actions, and present written progress reports.
• Verify trueness of structure, set grade, check for plumb, etc.
• Mix, transfer and extend materials such as concrete and asphalt.
• Fabricate and install concrete reinforcing bars.
• Place and finish concrete.
• Maintain clean job site, Pick up tools/equipment, secure job site each day-eliminate potential hazards.
• Be able to operator a forklift
• Be able to move or rearranging furniture.
• Be able to paint.
• Prepare water and deliver to crafts or units.
• Replace doors walls and build stairs as needed
• Other duties as assigned.
