Job description

Ceco Concrete Construction is the nation’s largest concrete subcontractor. Ceco was founded in 1912 and has more than 100 years of experience serving the commercial construction markets, partnering with our clients to provide value to projects of varying scope and complexity.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Helps carpenters by performing duties of lesser skill.
2. Operate hand and motorized equipment including power tools, saws, drills, hammers, and air-nailers.
3. Construct concrete forms including foundations, shoring and decking operations, walls & columns, and other structural elements as the project requires.
4. Install re-shores properly per instructions.
5. Read a tape measure in feet and inches, and perform basic math functions.
6. Work during inclement weather, which could expose you to extreme cold and heat, noise, and dust from construction operations depending upon the project site.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested.
2. Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
3. Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.

Preferred Experience

1. Preference given to candidates with a minimum of two years of formwork/concrete construction work experience as a Carpenter that meets or exceeds performance expectations.
2. 30 Hour OSHA Card desired.
