Job summary

Attractive Kitchen Cabinets Ltd. is hiring a Carpenter Helper to support cabinet manufacturing and installation across multiple sites in Lower Mainland, BC. The role offers full-time, ongoing employment with comprehensive training for newcomers to the trade.

Compensation is $27.50–$30.00 per hour, with overtime pay and relocation assistance up to $2000 for qualified candidates. You will load materials, assist with assembly, measure and cut wood, and help install cabinetry in residential projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist carpenters and cabinetmakers in manufacturing and installing kitchen cabinets and wood products.
• Load, unload and transport materials to work areas or sites.
• Support assembly of cabinet components according to plans.
• Measure, mark and cut wood using hand and basic power tools.
• Prepare surfaces and assist with finishes or laminates.
• Assist with installation at residential renovation or construction sites.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and proper tool storage.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies; work with the team to meet timelines.
• Perform other related duties to support cabinetry production and installation.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist carpenters and cabinetmakers in the manufacturing and installation of kitchen cabinets and interior wood products.
• Load, unload, and transport wood, plywood, laminates, and other cabinetry materials to work areas or installation sites.
• Support the assembly of cabinet components such as frames, drawers, and doors according to specifications and design plans.
• Assist in measuring, marking, and cutting wood and wood substitutes using hand tools and basic power tools.
• Sand, smooth, and prepare wooden surfaces and assist in applying finishes, stains, or laminates to complete cabinetry products.
• Assist with the installation of kitchen cabinets, countertops, and related fixtures at residential renovation or construction sites.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies while performing duties.
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently and within required timelines.
• Perform other related support duties as assigned to assist with cabinetry production and installation.

• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, equipment, and materials.
