Requirements and Qualifications

18 years of age.
Able to pass a drug test.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
For craft workers: reliable transportation, must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools), and may be required to travel for multi‑state opportunities.

Primary Function

Carpenter Helper – assists carpenters in the construction, installation, and repair of structures.

Typical Duties

Perform routine duties as directed by the carpenter while keeping the work area clean and restocking supplies and materials as needed.
Cut pre‑marked material or fixtures using civil equipment and power tools under the supervision of carpenters.
Be safety minded and adhere to all safety policies.
Complete all additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 1 year of experience in heavy construction with some experience using Symons and gang forms systems.
Ability to continuously build knowledge and skills.
Good listening and clarification skills.
Receptive to feedback from carpenters.
Knowledge of hand tools commonly used by carpenters and ability to describe their use.
Understanding of general safety rules for operating power tools and the safe use of hand tools.
