Requirements and Qualifications

• 18 years of age.
• Able to pass a drug test.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• For craft workers: reliable transportation, must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools), and may be required to travel for multi‑state opportunities.

Primary Function

Carpenter Helper – assists carpenters in the construction, installation, and repair of structures.

Typical Duties

• Perform routine duties as directed by the carpenter while keeping the work area clean and restocking supplies and materials as needed.
• Cut pre‑marked material or fixtures using civil equipment and power tools under the supervision of carpenters.
• Be safety minded and adhere to all safety policies.
• Complete all additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in heavy construction with some experience using Symons and gang forms systems.
• Ability to continuously build knowledge and skills.
• Good listening and clarification skills.
• Receptive to feedback from carpenters.
• Knowledge of hand tools commonly used by carpenters and ability to describe their use.
• Understanding of general safety rules for operating power tools and the safe use of hand tools.
