Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking a Carpenter Helper to support skilled carpenters in commercial construction projects. Responsibilities include handling materials, operating hand and power tools, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

You will assist in building rough wooden structures such as concrete forms and temporary shelters per sketches or blueprints. Candidate should have about a year of carpentry experience and be comfortable following safety protocols in a drug-free work

Qualifications

• 1 year commercial construction carpentry experience preferred.
• Must adhere to safety protocol.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools as required.

• Duties include using, supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment.
• Build rough wooden structures according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions.
• May assist Carpenters in interior carpentry tasks such as installing doors, wall forms, trim work and hardware.
• Operate hand and power tools as required.
• Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment.

• Help carpenters by performing duties of lesser skill.
• Duties include using, supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment.
• Build rough wooden structures, such as vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, column forms, scaffolds, or sewer supports, billboard signs, and temporary frame shelters, according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions.
• May assist Carpenters in interior carpentry tasks such as install doors, wall forms, trim work and hardware.
• Operate hand and power tools as required.
• Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment.
