Carpenter (Forms Carpenter)

Reports to:

Foreman or Superintendent

Job Type:

Full-time, Union

Key Responsibilities:

1. Build wood and metal forms for concrete structures, footings, slabs, walls, beams, and columns per specifications.
2. Set up, secure, and level forms; ensure stability and proper alignment; reinforce forms to withstand concrete pressure.
3. Maintain and repair forms to extend lifespan and uphold safety standards.
4. Dismantle, clean, store, or dispose of forms after use.
5. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools for construction tasks.
6. Follow and promote safety protocols; report hazards or incidents immediately.
7. Coordinate with team members to ensure a productive work environment.
8. Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Experience as a carpenter on heavy civil projects (preferred).
2. Understanding of carpentry techniques and installation methods.
3. Proficiency with electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.
4. OSHA 10 certification.
5. Ability to work at heights and outdoors in various weather conditions.
6. Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
7. Alertness to safety and environmental conditions.
8. High school diploma or equivalent.
9. Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to follow instructions.
10. Reliable transportation to job sites.
11. Commitment to safety.
