Job Responsibilities:
  • Organize and complete carpentry-related tasks at construction projects.
  • Complete rough carpentry work, site logistical work, fencing, deck and platform building, protection systems, construction waste areas, and jobsite cleanup.
  • Shape or cut materials to specified measurements.
  • Erect scaffolding and ladders, as needed.
  • Install structures and fixtures including but not limited to windows, frames, floorings, trim, and hardware.
  • Review jobsite needs with superintendents and foremen, and coordinate construction.
  • Estimate, inventory, monitor, and request time, staff, materials, and equipment needed to complete work.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, backhoe, skid steer, excavator, compactor, and construction hoist.
  • Assist with the overall site safety and quality programs as required, including participation in Pre-Task Plans, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Inspect all tools and power tools before use to ensure safety and proper functioning.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and employees.
  • Travel and work night and weekend shifts as needed.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Display teamwork, integrity, commitment, and leadership daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least three (3) years of carpentry experience.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of construction surveying.
  • Ability to interpret project drawings.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in carpentry.
  • Understanding of foundations and framing of structures.
  • Basic arithmetic and geometry skills applicable to carpentry.
  • Knowledge of machinery and tools, including maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to work independently and accommodate night and weekend work.
  • Ability to understand safety instructions and signage.
  • Clear communication skills, especially in emergencies.
