Job summary

St. Louis Blues is seeking a hands-on facilities teammate to support carpentry and maintenance during events. You will assist with stage builds, repairs, and setup/breakdown for concerts, while maintaining safe, organized spaces and coordinating labor as events transition.

The role requires forklift certification or willingness to obtain it, physical work (50 lb lift), and availability for nights, weekends, and occasional longer shifts. Strong communication and safe teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist building carpenters with maintenance projects (painting, patching, plumbing, carpentry).
• Diagnose and repair building issues during events and concerts.
• Assist in setup/breakdown of events (moving tables/chairs).
• Assist in building stage setups for shows.
• Maintain clean and orderly storage areas and shops.
• Identify equipment needing repairs and help plan upkeep.
• Operate forklift for show load-in/load-out upon request.
• Supervise casual labor when transitioning between events.
• Other duties as assigned.

Day To Day Job Responsibilities

• Assist building carpenters with building maintenance projects including but not limited to painting, patching, plumbing, carpentry, moving of furniture, etc.
• Diagnose and repair building issues during evening concerts and events.
• Assist in setup and breakdown of all events. This includes but is not limited to moving/stacking tables, chairs.
• Ability to recognize and understand how to build stages for shows.
• Assists in keeping all storage areas and carpentry shops clean and orderly.
• Identifies equipment that needs to be maintained and assists in developing a plan to carry out necessary repairs and upkeep.
• Operates forklift for show load in/out upon request.
• Oversee casual labor when building is converting from event to event.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Forklift certified or willing to get certified
• Able to work nights/weekends/occasionally over 8 hours per shift
• Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative with minimal supervision.
• Maintain an effective working relationship with employees
