Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Carpenter is preferred.
• Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and measurements.
• Ability to read and take action on blueprints.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power carpentry tools.
• Knowledge of building regulations and codes.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Use blueprints and sketches to determine construction requirements.
• Construct wood structures including framing and rafters.
• Install fixtures and materials such as windows and flooring.
• Hang, float and texture drywall.
• Painting and install insulation.
• Install different kinds of roofing and flooring.
• Interact with customers and suppliers.
