Job Title : Carpenter / Framer Construction Worker

Job Description

We are seeking skilled carpenters and wood framers to join our team, focusing on wood framing for large-scale commercial projects. This role involves tasks such as framing, trimming, cutting, and nailing wood. This job requires a tool belt, hammer, speed square, chalk line, tape measure, and steel toed boots. We are paying $18 to $22 an hour for entry level candidates that want to get their foot in the door with a growing commercial company.

Responsibilities

  • Perform wood framing for commercial projects, including cutting, trimming, and nailing.
  • Assist in stair and rafter cutting, and the installation of pre-fab wall panels and trusses.
  • Engage in multi-family and commercial wood framing projects.
  • Collaborate with a team and report to a foreman for daily tasks.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to learn and face challenges.
  • General construction knowledge and experience.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Experience in commercial construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Wood framing experience is highly advantageous.
  • Prior carpentry or apprentice experience on wood framing projects (1+ years required).
  • Trade school education or training is considered.
  • Comfortable working at heights of 5+ stories.
  • Ability to supply personal basic hand tools, work boots, hard hat, tool belt, chalk line, 25 FT tape measure, speed square, cat paw, and framing hammer.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Worcester, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $22.50 / hr.
