The Carpenter Foreman uses various hand and power tools and ensures that work complies with construction documents. Depending on staffing needs and circumstances, this position may also serve as a backup to on-site supervision.

• The Carpenter Foreman is expected to exhibit competency in the following areas to ensure safe, productive, and effective performance. • Provides Direction to Assigned Crew: Leads and manages the crew, ensuring tasks are performed efficiently and to standard.
• Installs Footing Forms: Constructs and positions forms for footings as per design specifications.
• Builds and Installs Wall and Column Forms: Creates and sets forms for walls and columns, ensuring structural integrity.
• Builds and Installs Structural Deck Forms: Constructs and installs forms for structural decks.
• Sets Slab-on-Grade Forms: Positions forms for slabs-on-grade, ensuring proper alignment and level.
• Preps and Sets Tilt-up/Precast Forms: Prepares and installs forms for tilt-up and precast concrete elements.
• Works with Building Layout: Collaborates with the building layout to ensure precise form placement and alignment.
• Ensures a Safe Work Environment: Implements safety protocols and practices to maintain a safe working environment for the crew.
• Participates in Training/Certifications: Engages in ongoing training and certifications to stay updated with industry standards and best practices.
  
  

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or training, including the ability to read and interpret construction documents.
