Job summary

REZ Management is seeking a skilled Commercial Construction Carpenter/Foreman to perform rough and finish carpentry in restaurant construction and alterations. The role involves consulting with clients and contractors to ensure timely, high-quality work that meets company standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of carpenter experience, possess a Journeyman license if required by jurisdiction, and bring personal tools.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a carpenter.
  • Hand-to-eye coordination, mathematical skills, strength and stamina.
  • Detail oriented and able to follow safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide journeyman-level rough and finish carpentry duties.
  • Review project plan and blueprints.
  • Estimate time, material, equipment, and supplies needed.
  • Track production rates of self-perform.
  • Maintain records and photos for job status updates.
  • Ensure work areas are properly maintained.
  • Consult with clients and contractors professionally.
  • Complete work per REZ Management standards and timelines.
  • Work with crew to ensure project completion.
  • Maintain crew safety, training of tools and equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Understanding of finish work: trim, drywall, remodel, basic electrical and plumbing knowledge.

REZ Management
Carpenter/ Foreman

REZ Management currently seeking a skilled Commercial Construction Carpenter/ Foreman to perform rough and finish carpentry in the alteration and construction of buildings, cabinets, and specialty wood items. A candidate will need to consult with clients and contractors in a professional manner, making sure carpentry jobs are completed in due time and ensure work is performed according to REZ Management standards.

This is a full-time position to perform work for several different restaurant concepts. Must have experience working alongside other trades in all areas of construction. Experience in restaurant repairs preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expertise in performing journeyman-level rough and finish carpentry duties
  • Review project plan and blueprints
  • Estimate time, material, equipment, and supplies needed
  • Track production rates of self-perform
  • Maintains records & pictures for job status updates
  • Ensure work areas are properly maintained
  • Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues
  • Consult with clients and contractors in a professional manner
  • Ensure carpentry jobs are completed in due time and ensure work in performed according to REZ Management standards
  • Work cohesively with crew members to ensure project completion to satisfy Client needs
  • Maintain crew safety, equipment, and tool training
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Preferred to hold a current Journeyman Carpenter license/certificate (if required by the applicable state, city, or county)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a carpenter
  • Considerable knowledge of rough and finish carpentry; tools, equipment materials and safety practices of carpentry work; building techniques of new and remodel construction
  • Display hand-to-eye coordination, mathematical skills, strength, stamina, and be detailed orientated
  • Display basic computer skills
  • Must have personal tools
  • Lift and/or pull 75lbs., climb ladders, work off ladders, man lifts or other equipment
  • Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt

  • Adhere to all OSHA and REZ Management safety practices and procedures
  • Support activities at all REZ Management jobsites as directed
Understanding of repair methods
  • Start to Finish Carpentry
  • Accurately measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other building materials
  • Metal Studs, Framing
  • Rough Builds
  • Trim Work (molding, installing cabinets, doors, etc.)
  • Drywall
  • Remodel
  • Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge
  • Good communications skills
