Join Our Team: Carpenter - East Petersburg

Warfel Construction Company is seeking a dedicated Construction Carpenter to join our team in East Petersburg, PA. This role reports directly to the jobsite Foreman or Superintendent and requires strict adherence to safety regulations and site-specific procedures.

Work Schedule: Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. Occasional Saturday work and overtime may be necessary. Reliable transportation is required due to variable travel to and from the jobsite.

Responsibilities:

• Fit and install window frames, doors, weather stripping, interior and exterior trim, and hardware.
• Install and align miscellaneous metal and specialty items such as handrails, lintels, and fire extinguishers.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for above-ground work.
• Use hand tools for building layout, framing, installing cabinets, and trim.
• Assist in demolition, sawing, dismantling forms, and installing insulation.
• Operate hand and power tools, and company equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or college experience preferred.
• Proficiency in reading tape measures, blueprints, and building plans.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent experience in carpentry.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing approximately 95% of the time.
• Walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Work at heights using scaffolds, lifts, and fall protection equipment.
