Job summary

Warfel Construction Company in State College, PA is seeking a Construction Carpenter. You will report to the jobsite Foreman or Superintendent and must follow site safety rules.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch; occasional Saturdays and OT may occur, with travel to job sites as needed. Typical duties include installing windowframes, doors, trim, and hardware, erecting scaffolding, and using hand tools for framing and finishing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or technical training.
• Ability to read a tape measure with accuracy.
• Understanding of prints, sketches, blueprints, and building plans.

Responsibilities

• Fit and install prefabricated window frames, doors, and trim.
• Install and align metal and specialty items such as handrails and lintels.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for work on structures above ground level.
• Use hand tools for framing, layout, and installation of blocking, cabinets, and trim.
• Assist other carpenters and Warfel employees as needed.
• Operate hand/power tools and company equipment when required.
